Black Lives Matter at Dana Park by Shannon Straney

In the evening on Friday, July 8, 2016, a diverse crowd gathered in Dana Park in Albany, NY for a vigil organized by the Upstate New York chapter of Black Lives Matter. Amid speeches and chants, people came together in solidarity to call for action, change, and accountability. The event was held especially to honor the memories of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and others who have become victims of police shootings and violence.
