‘Nas: Time is Illmatic’ at the Palace

On Friday October 3rd, Nas will be at the Palace Theater in conjunction with a screening of his documentary Nas: Time is Illmatic. The show will begin with a screening of the film, and then Nas will perform Illmatic from start to finish. Seriously.

From the event page:

“Nas: Time is Illmatic” – which opens via Tribeca Film – follows the trajectory of his 1994 landmark debut album, “Illmatic.” It traces Nas’ influences and the insurmountable odds he faced in creating the greatest work of music from hip-hop’s second golden era. The documentary is directed by multimedia artist, One9, written by Erik Parker, and produced by One9, Parker, and Anthony Saleh. The film was supported by The Ford Foundation’s Just Films, Tribeca Film Institute’s Tribeca All Access program, and Hennessy V.S. to help bring Nas’ inspiring story of tireless pursuit of excellence to audiences nationwide.

Tickets start at $40 and go on sale on Friday August 15th at 10am via ticketmaster. Learn more on the Palace website.
