KC’s Music Monday: Dimensions Festival Vol. 3

It’s Monday and I’m barely climbing into my work week. Simply put, here’s some music to help ease the struggle, all from artists playing this year’s Dimensions Festival in Croatia.

Hit the jump!

Untold

I’m only fifteen minutes in right now and I’m already thankful that I didn’t forget my headphones at home. In the brief interview accompanying the mix, Untold states that it’s “something suitable for a motorway drive at night.” While I’m in the office at the moment, I can see how it’d be an appropriate soundtrack for a night time drive. Dark, percussive techno with an industrial edge – words from the man himself. Check it out here. (If you aren’t a member to Resident Advisor, this mix from Untold is worth making an account for).

2562

If the above mix helped you get on a techno kick, then 2562 will also help satisfy those cravings. This mix was taken from Ninja Tune radio in advance of this year’s Dimensions Festival.

Joy Orbison

This summer, Joy Orbison and Boddika have released the hounds upon us, with their collaborations becoming staples fresh out of the gate. Listen. And again.

Summer will stretch into September with this year’s Dimensions Festival coming to life a week after its sibling festival, Outlook kicks things off. The venue is located on a peninsular surrounded by the ocean just across the bay from Pula. Boat parties will take off from the harbor twice per day, either mid-day or in the evening as the sun sets. You can check out more information about the boat parties here.
