Grimes at Basilica Hudson

This one has gone under the radar quite well somehow. Grimes is set to play at Basilica Hudson alongside Elite Gymnastics and Myths on Tuesday, September 25th. If you don’t already know Basilica Hudson is an old glue factory converted by artists into an amazing and staggering event space. If you’re not familiar with Grimes, check out the video below.

BASILICA HUDSON is ecstatic to present the enchanting electronic siren of the north, GRIMES and her acrobatic clan of elite myth makers. An eerie marriage between Twin Peaks theme song and lo fi dark new wave dance machines, this one woman vision seemingly came from nowhere when discovered by the always-to-be-trusted 4AD Records (Pixies, Gang Gang Dance, Lush and more). Her charming guerrilla video of her sweet dance at a Montreal Alouettes’ football game, has been viewed an impressive 1 million plus times since we at the Basilica reached out to her booking agent to invite her to play. We consider ourselves lucky to have her coming to the Hudson Valley fresh off her summer tour with Skrillex and her European festival run. We think our raw and mammoth industrial space will embrace and maximize the minimalist ethereal dance sounds of the girl with pink bangs.
