August Rosa of Aficionado and Brew fame has been releasing new music under the name Off Hours. In his project, there’s a different vocalist on every track, letting him focus on the music production. This is a neat way to approach music creation and I enjoyed the song and video he sent over for “All Over”.
I shot and edited a quick video to document the behind the scenes happenings in preparation for the Tavern Noodle Pop-up. The place was opened for one day, with no plans beyond that one day. However, since the overwhelming success they’ve decided to bring it back, one day only, on December 18 at 5pm.
The place was high energy the entire day and the food was phenomenal. Enjoy the video, and make it out to the next one if you missed this one. Last chance!
Here’s my video from the Wellington Hotel Annex implosion, which happened earlier today.
This past Friday, the UAG played host to an awesome show with Moon Magick and Fountainsun. Moon Magick is made up of two friends of mine, Phil and Laura. They played twenty-three minutes (the correct amount of time for any band to play) worth of etherial, electronic music with a smattering of effect-laden guitar. Let the video above give you a better idea of what they sound like.
Fountainsun, the newest project from Dan Higgs of Lungfish fame, was an awesome experience to say the least. It started slowly and softly and eventually included lyrics, mostly in the form of spoken-word poetry. Dive straight into the last bit of the performance below.
Last night, Rosary Beard popped into Tierra on Delaware Ave for a an intimate acoustic performance. Rosary Beard is intricate, harmonious guitar music without any vocals which is perfect for a coffee shop.
If you missed out (or want to relive last night) you can check the video I took below, and if you want more, head to their site to grab their music!
