Uncle Sam GP: Photos and Recap

[portfolio_slideshow]

This past weekend marked the NYCROSS.com cycling team’s (the cyclocross team KAB sponsors) big race in Troy’s Prospect Park.

This race had record attendance and wildly different conditions on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was frigid and dry, making the course fast and suited for riders with big engines, and Sunday’s rain made the course slick and was much better suited to those with lots of bike handling skills.

I did the C race on Sunday and our race was only three laps. By the second lap, I was shredded and felt horrible, thanks in part to working two long days before the race with almost no sleep between them. And I’m sure the lack of training didn’t help either. There was an awesome back and forth during the Pro race with Curtis White and Christian Favata on both days and once it warmed up, all of the races were awesome to spectate.

If this all seems interesting, your next chance to race/spectate is this Sunday in Saratoga!
